Family Link Scheme
The Family Link Scheme was set up in 2003 as a partnership with Wokingham Children's Fund from whom we received five years funding to employ a Family Support Worker. We continue to be supported through funding from Wokingham Borough Council to maintain the scheme until March 2009. We will, in the meantime, be exploring other options beyond this period.
The scheme focuses on supporting children and families in Woodley and our core focus is on providing:-
Every summer we run a week of Family Fun Days. A group of volunteers from local churches organise entertainment in different parks throughout Woodley. Facilities available include a bouncy castle, face painting, hair braiding, children's games & activities, computer games and refreshments. These events present a great opportunity to meet parents and children informally.
