Food Distribution Scheme

In 2006, we set up the food distribution scheme in response to an awareness that sometimes residents' circumstances change to the point that emergancy food is required. This could be because of problems with benefits, debt, housing issues etc.

The scheme was therefore set up in partnership with St Johns Church, Woodley and FAITH Christian Group and referrals are received from a variety of sources locally including Social Services, Churches, Youth Organisations and individuals. Around four food parcels are donated through this scheme each month. We primarily cover the Woodley area, but can consider requests outside of this area subject to available stock.
