Volunteering
Would you like to volunteer for The Link Visiting Scheme? We always love to hear from people who think they may have time to visit an elderly person once a week or once a fortnight for an hour or so; to provide a listening ear and give some well earned quality time.
We find volunteers mainly (but not exclusively) from local churches. Each volunteer after filling out a brief application form will be asked to complete a ‘Criminal Records Bureau’ Check or CRB check and must provide us with a reference. Did you know that the role of the volunteer is an essential element in breaking isolation and improving independence and well being among older people?
