Healing Ministry

There is an active Healing Ministry withing Wokingham, continuing the works started by Jesus himself The following lists healing service and prayers for healing available for a number of churches in the Wokingham area. In all cases, everything said is kept strictly confidential.
 
All Saints Healing Services
Two services offer people the opportunity to receive the laying on of hands for themselves or someone else. these are provided by members of the healing prayer group, and the priest is available to anoint with holy oil if requested 9:30 am - Third Sunday of every month. This is the parish communion service (principal service of the day). After receiving communion, those who wish to, move into the Lady Chapel to receive the laying on of hands and anointing. 6:30 pm - On the last Sunday of the month. This is a specific healing service using a form based on the Church of England's Common Worship Book. It includes a number of hymns, prayers of intercession, a reading from scripture, and a sermon. Wokingham Baptist Church Prayers after the Sunday Service
Please feel free to ask for prayer after any of the services by simply asking the service leader, preacher or talking to a steward. 0118 978 7174
 
Healing prayer is part of the prayer ministry of the church, and as such is normally available after the regular Sunday morning service at about 12 noon. On weekdays, this ministry is available by arrangement. 0118 961 9876
 
St Paul's Healing Service
Prayer, Healing Ministry is available the second Sunday of each month at 6:15pm at St Paul's Church, Reading Road. The healing service offers a quiet atmosphere with readings, prayers and songs, followed by any or all of the following:
· Laying on of hands by a trained prayer team
· Anointing with holy oil by the presiding priest
· Ministry from a trained listening team
· A chance to sit quietly and reflect In addition to formal healing and prayers, St Paul's is usually open during the day for quite private prayer. A book for writing your thoughts and requests is always avaiable at the votive stand, where candles may be lit to aid your prayer. 0118 978 0034
 
Salvation Army Healing at Sunday Services
Healing ministry is offered at all the worship services on a Sunday and is also available by request by contacting our church office (Tel: 0118 989 4055) or the pastors direct (Tel: 0118 978 4231). We have a trained healing and prayer ministry team that perform this important area of ministry.. 0118 989 4055
 
Although none of Wokingham's Quaker meetings are specifically set aside for healing, the meetings for Worship are quiet and peaceful and have a healing quality. Our regular meetings for worshipare on a Sunday 10:30-11:30 am and also on Thursdays 12:30-1 pm which is followed by a simple lunch. If required there are links with the national Quaker group 'The friends Fellowship of Healing' who conduct more specific healing meetings. 0118 978 1090
 
St Sebastian's Prayers for Healing
Prayer for healing is availbale every Sunday at the 10am service (apart from the fourth Sunday). A trained ministry team is available to pray with anyone in need. On the fourth Sunday prayer ministry is offered at the evening Communion Service. On the third Sunday there is a monthly service of 'Praise, Healing and Communion' where a time of more extended prayer ministry is offered. This service often includes the opportunity to receive prayer and anointing with oil. Prayer is also available by arrangement at other times. 01344 761050
 
Special healing services are held three times a year. These form part of a Sunday evening Communion Service (normally at 7:30 pm).

St Mary's Winnersh Prayers for healing
Prayers for healing are available after the main Sunday services (9:30 am). At other times prayers can be offered by arrangement. 0118 979 4568
