Faith Action Audit 2015

In early 2015, an exciting initiative is taking place locally and nationally. The Faith Action Audit will be an opportunity to measure the great work being carried out for the benefit of our communities by churches and faith groups in over 50 areas of the UK. Wokingham and Reading Boroughs have been selected as two of these agreed areas. The survey will be carried out using an online questionnaire which will be accessible from January 2015. We will be inviting all churches and faith groups across Wokingham and Reading to take part by completing the survey tool at the appropriate time.
The aim is that the audit will ‘strengthen the confidence of local churches and faith groups to work more closely together with local authorities, police and other agencies’. The eventual local findings will be made available to us in the form of 500 printed reports to be circulated to key local networks such as faith groups, local authorities, voluntary sector groups, health agencies and police. Results from all of the projects will be further summarised in a national report which will be made available to the new government after the elections in May 2015. We will then be arranging an event in Wokingham Borough and another in Reading to showcase the results. This event will be open to all who take part in the survey and other local partners and stakeholders. Further details of this initiative, which is being coordinated nationally by Cinnamon Network, can be found here
During November and December, we will be asking local churches and faith groups to nominate a representative who will complete the survey on your behalf next January. If you are able to confirm who this could be within your organisation, please do let us know. The project will be taking place separately in both Wokingham and Reading but we are coordinating some aspects where necessary.
